The New Albanian Riots traveled the spaceways to bring you their second release, an all-new CD EP. The band hear new worlds, Unknown Worlds, and they want to share them with you. Reaching back to their misspent youths, the band culled inspiration from old science fiction and horror movies, novels and comic books to create a record of what the longhairs call thematic music, visiting worlds outside our own, planetary and otherwise. It's a trip to Outer Space and the inner mind through real stereophonic sound!

"Unknown Worlds took the top of my head off-- in a good way...great sound and richly evocative from the first track-- especially for someone with my bent with outer space music, and spy, crime, and surf guitar..."
-- Warren Beath, author of "The Death of James Dean", "Bloodletter" and "Shock Waves"

"Unknown Worlds is a brilliantly conceived and executed concept CD that explores science fiction soundscapes with the same command of twangy surf and skewed pop as their 1998 CD, the Cream of the Stars... the last cut, "Blue Jaunte"... is the best thing to come from the warped minds and fast fingers of the Riots yet, suggesting what it may actually feel like to teleport across a galaxy, or merely through one's own subconscious... there is plenty here that will help you prepare for the coming alien invasion..."
--Hampton S. Butterman, Cool & Strange Music

Unknown Worlds was on Cool & Strange Music Associate Editor Paul Tumey's "2001 Top 10 List".
